More about this documentary

This is a short film highlighting the rickshaw riders of Bangladesh. We follow Raju for a day - a rider with a wife and young family, who tries to make ends meet, amidst the poverty of a nation struggling to survive.

This film was created as part of a 4-month traveling roadshow, visiting primary schools and community groups along the East cost of Australia, raising awareness of the Millennium Development Goals.

The ability to limit a view of the world by framing it in a rectangle, causing others to see something within four straight edges is a profoundly simple concept, yet one of the most powerful. I've been captivated by this concept throughout my education and development as a graphic designer, art director and photographer, and more recently, in producing short films.
