My travels with the NGO I currently work for often take me into schools or adult education lessons around the world. As a qualified teacher myself (seven very happy years teaching children with special educational needs) I still really value education and I personally believe good education is one of the major keys to overcoming poverty. There is a long way to go in many countries but the difference learning makes can open a new world for someone. This gallery shows some of the moments of hope I found in African classrooms in 2010 and 2011.
