My Biography
I am a freelance documentary photographer currently based in Zaragoza, Spain, where I work on personal projects and commissions.
I specialise in documentary and reportage photography and I am also one of the founders of Kauri Multimedia, a production team that focuses on storytelling through photography and audio. Colores, the first multimedia essay completed by Kauri, can be seen at http://www.vimeo.com/kaurimultimedia.
Individual projects include a season in the life of a Zaragoza football club comprised entirely of Senegalese immigrants; the story of a local handball team made up of kids of Gambian descent, a photo documentary on surviving Spanish transhumants; and the work of AEPA Euskadi, a Basque association specialising in dog-assisted therapies in nursing homes and day-care centres.
Extracts of my work have been published in El Mundo Basque Country Edition, El Periódico de Aragón, Metroxpress, DR, Jydske Vestkysten, B.T., Berlingske Tidende, La Calle De Todos magazine, El Pollo Urbano magazine, Bottup, Periodismo Humano, Toumai, verdeTeruel, Business Traveller UK, Hidden Europe magazine, Resurgence Magazine and Frommer’s Travel Guides.
Clients include the Spanish Ministry of the Environment, and Rural and Marine Affairs, Zaragoza’s Islamic Cultural Centre, Zaragoza City Council, Zaragoza Hornets, AEPA Euskadi, John Wiley and Sons Publishing, Scanpix Danmark and Público.
Photo story Colores featured at the 8th Olympic Forum on “Sport and Immigration” organised by the Fundació Barcelona Olímpica, the 2009 Sports Gala Event organised by Zaragoza City Council, and was also exhibited in March 2010 at Santa Clara Cultural Centre, Antequera, Spain, during the Spanish handball Copa del Rey tournament.
